11 years. I am surprised there are 4 posts this year, when it felt i didn’t post anything at all. I am finishing second book in Hyperion series and Windows 11 26H2 is around the corner. So, a few more posts to come. Actually, there is another blog post sitting in drafts about Outlook archives and one in my mind about Intune Connector setup. But i cannot force myself to actually work on them. Part of the problem is i know i will only feed AI models with them. Lots of China/AI traffic to this site, less views every year (i guess even less human visitors). But it wasn’t about visits or earning something anyway. It always was just my outlet to the world tool and maybe i will keep doing this.
And my all time (from 2019 April really) stats from Matomo on the most popular articles here. This time with a difference from last year.
- Fixing Japanese and Chinese IME problem [EN] – 4174 (+394), such a jump in just a year. As i mentioned, most of traffic this year coming from China (50% actually). 1/3 from US, but maybe it is mostly big LLM engines. Anyway, this IME problem is acting like a honeypot for the bots it seems.
- Very Basic Openfire + Spark Guide [EN] – 1962 (+115), a more moderate increase, but this one still manages to stick in top 3, although in many aspects irrelevant.
- Fixing Windows Defender RCE vulnerability in mpengine.dll [EN] – 1663 (+101), another one probably mostly visited by bots.
- Fixing SSL error when accessing XenServer after KB3175024 update [EN] – 1325 (+114), jumped +1 place, which is nice as this is first article that was useful and got real traction in 2016.
- Office 365 – Deleting users with the same UPN and Display Name [EN] – 1267 (+28), glad this one is dying off. First article with anomalous traffic, posted in 2017. Still no clue why it got so much attention. It will take time for it to drop off from the top. But then it might suddenly get a lot of traffic again, as it happened a few times.
- WSUS woes with Windows 10 [EN] – 952 (+44), not many new visits, but enough to be close to top 5.
As the top is not changing much, i might stop doing this comparison. Or maybe should do it every 3-5 years instead.
