Board Game Review – Las Vegas [EN]

Very simple and fast dice rolling game. 6 casino houses cards are spread put on the table and a random sum of money is appointed to every of them. Every casino house represents one side of a die. Then players in turn order roll their pool of dice and assign all dice of one number to one of the casinos. Then the turn goes to another player. She rolls and assingns her dice and so on. The round ends when all players have assigned all of their dice. Then players check who has a majority of dice on every casino. That player gets the money (second place gets second banknote if there is one). If there is a tie, nobody gets anything. The game is over after 4 rounds. Yes, the game is very luck driven. You might roll all or almost all the same numbers and you will be forced to put them on some number, which won’t be beneficial to you (it is usually better to spread out your dice between casinos) or that casino can have a small amount of money. But the game is very quick. And it should be a blast in a party setting with bigger crowd with everyone cheering for their rolls and cursing opponents for stealing their money under their noses 🙂 I only have played it on Yucata, so i haven’t had a chance to test that, but i can see the potential. That’s why i give it a rating one higher than it could be. 7/10

I don’t have any significant complains about the Yucata version. Though in a few recent games there is a minor annoyance, that the game doesn’t fit the window perfectly (even when playing on PC) and Finish and Next buttons are cut out, so you have to scroll with your mouse. And on the tablet numbers on the banknotes can be a tad too small.
