This game can easily be included among the party games (hence the part Party in the name). Because there is no lack of laughter or emotions during its play (sometimes very strong emotions though). This is my second game from Renegade Game Studios. I’ve seen its review long time ago, but when i saw it on my FLGS website with a discount and a very attractive price, i thought “Why not? It can be handy in my collection”. So far a few plays of it were truly fun. It can be hard though, especially for those having trouble imagining geometric shapes in their minds (like myself). But when using only the easiest level cards and with less strict rules, it can be also used with kids. It will help developing their dexterity skills and analytic vision, and maybe also cooperating skills 🙂 There can be permanent or temporary pairs of players during the game. Each pair must decide who will be the architect (telling what and how to build) and the builder (the one actually building the thing) during each round. The architect must also choose which card among ones he or she has will be built (there are 4 types of cards of varying levels of difficulty). And all this is spiced up with special rules cards, one of which is flipped before every round and dictates how things should work. Maybe the architect must remain silent and only use gestures to give the instructions. Or maybe the builder has to build it blindfolded. It will be hilarious either way 🙂 It can be very difficult to obey the rules sometimes and not put the right brick into builder’s hand or to be silent, when you shouldn’t speak. In time you start to see what works better in different situations, how you can better describe things when one or another rule is in play. When you become the builder, you start to realize how it was for another player, when you was the architect and vice versa. It’s a very simple game with a very few components and all the figures on the cards are fairly similar. So the freshness of it can evaporate quickly. Though, there are a few blank cards for those who want to create their own rules. The game can also be created with a few spare Lego bricks and paper sheets for figures and rules. But it’s a fairly cheap game, so it’s probably not worth it to invest time to build your won copy. Simple, but fun. Strong 7/10.

Board Game Review – Brick Party [LT]
Žaidimas gali būti drąsiai įtrauktas į vakarėlių žaidimų sąrašą. Nes jį žaidžiant netruks nei juoko, nei emocijų (kartais net labai stiprių). Tai antras mano Renagade Game Studios žaidimas. Jo apžvalgą mačiau labai seniai, bet kai pastebėjau jį mūsų FLGS parduotuvės puslapyje su nuolaida ir labai patrauklia kaina, pagalvojau “Kodėl gi ne? Toks žaidimas gali praversti kolekcijoje”. Kol kas kelios žaidimo partijos buvo smagios. Žaidimas gali būti ir sunkus (ypač tiems, kam sunku mintyse įsivaizduot geometrines figūras – kas man visada buvo sunkokas uždavinys). Bet naudojant tik lengviausio sunkumo kortas ir šiek tiek supaprastinus taisykles žaidimą galima pritaikyti ir vaikams. O tai padėtų lavinti jų miklumą ir analitinį mąstymą, bei galbūt bendradarbiavimo įgūdžius 🙂 Žaidime gali būti laikinos ar pastovios komandos po du žmones. Kiekviena pora nusprendžia, kas bus architektu (pasakos ką ir kaip statyt) ir statytoju (statys figūrą pagal kito instrukcijas). Architektas taip pat nusprendžia kokio sunkumo kortą iš jo turimų bus bandoma statyt (žaidime yra 4 sunkumo lygių kortos). Bet viską paįvairina papildomos taisyklės, kurių viena yra ištraukiama prieš kiekvieną raundą. Gali būti, kad architektas negalės nieko sakyti ir tik gestais galės nurodyti statytojui, ką daryti. O galbūt statytojas turės statyti figūrą užsimerkęs. Vienaip ar kitaip, bus smagu 🙂 Kartais būna labai sunku laikytis taisyklių ir neįdėt statytojui reikiamos plytelės į rankas ar tylėti, kai gali rodyti tik gestais. Su laiku pradedi suprasti kaip geriau paaiškinti partneriui tam tikrus momentus, kaip elgtis esant vienai ar kitai taisyklei. Pabuvęs architektu supranti ką jaučia statytojas, kai pats atsiduri jo kailyje ir atvirkščiai. Žaidimas yra labai paprastas, su nedaug komponentų ir statomos figūros yra labai panašios. Todėl naujumas gali greitai išgaruoti. Aišku, yra tuščios kortos ir galimybė sugalvoti savo taisykles. Žaidimą gali susikurti ir pats panaudojęs kelias atliekamas Lego kaladėles ir užrašius ant lapelių figūras bei taisykles. Nors jo kaina tokia nedidelė, kad gal neverta investuoti savo laiko į kopijos gamybą. Stiprus 7/10.
New purchase – Brick Party [LT-EN]
[LT] Pasinaudojau Juodo Penktadienio nuolaidomis Rikis parduotuvėje ir įsigijau jau antrą iš eilės Renagade Games Studios leidėjo žaidimą, kuris beje irgi turi laikmatį 🙂 Brick Party irgi yra komandinis žaidimas. Tik šį kartą žaidėjai dalinasi į komandas po du žmones ir visos komandos varžosi tarpusavyje. Vienas komandos narys būna Architektoriumi ir žodžiais bando nusakyti komandos draugui kokią konstrukciją mato kortoje, o Statytojas bando tą konstrukciją kuo greičiau pagaminti iš spalvingų kaladėlių. Kai viena komanda pabaigia konstrukciją, kitiems lieka 30 sekundžių pabaigti savąją. Taip pat žaidime yra įvairios papildomos taisyklės, kurios apsunkina komandos darbą (tarkim statyti užsimerkus ar nenaudojant nykščių). Kaip ir FUSE atveju manau šis žaidimas gali padėti gerinti komunikaciją tarp kolegų. Ar sugriauti santykius 😀
[EN] I have used the Black Friday discount opportunity and purchased my second game by Renagade Game Studios in my FLGS Rikis, which by the way also has a timer 🙂 Brick Party is also a team game. But in this one all players are splitting into teams of two and all teams compete among themselves. One team member is the Architect trying to describe to his team mate what he sees on the construction card with his words (or gestures). And the Builder is trying to to build that construction with the colorful blocks. When one team accomplishes this, other teams have 30 seconds to finish theirs. There are also various rules in the game, which make it harder to complete constructions (say you have to doit with your eyes closed, or without using your thumbs). Just like with FUSE i think this game can improve communication between colleagues. Or destroy relationships 😀
